NETucation is a Research & Training based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Our focus is the psychology of technology i.e how technology impacts human beings on a personal nature. We place global online trends in a South African context and teach you how to exploit them. The main focus of this website is how-to articles, probing the impact of technology like Internet, cellphones, video games and other technologies on the human psyche.

Key People at NETucation
Ramon Thomas is South Africa’s leading authority on the psychology of technology. His research into the Online Dating industry and MXit, has positioned him as the leading expert on online behaviour. He holds a BSc in Computer Science, a Post Graduate Diploma in Information Management, and is currently completing a Masters degree in Information Science at University of Johannesburg. He is past a director of the Computer Society, ICDL Foundation and ISETT SETA. And he is currently a member of the Internet Society, Toastmasters, National Speakers Association. He has a media profile with regular interviews on radio, television, magazines, newspapers and online publications.
Phuti Mosomane: After working for ITWeb Events and Trade Conferences International, Phuti has rejoined the NETucation team as Conference Producer. Mr. Phuti Mosomane graduated in Media Studies and International relations at Wits University. A media practitioner by profession, for the past 7 years has been involved in ICT research on topics such as e-government, ICT skills/e-Skills, broadband and ICT convergence. Participated and enrolled in courses such as Political Transformation, Transition and Globalisation,Sociological Theory, Organisations, Movement and Change. Gareth Roberts: Is the junior member in the NETucation team and is based in Uitenhage. He works remotely and virtually on projects like web-based research. He’s personal interests include computer games and cellphones.

The High School students of our school attended a blogging seminar presented by Ramon Thomas in Uitenhage. It opened up a whole new world to the students, Ramon was well-prepared. I would recommend that all High School students have to attend these seminars before they can graduate.
You should address private high schools. They get left out of such as many want to hit the disadvantaged only. I dont say that is in your case……..a comment..

Thanks for the suggestion Heather. I will contact St Peters College because I do mostly speak at private schools. And more and more I am receiving invitations to education, teaching or principals conferences to discuss the impact of new technology on children, family and learning.
